Diagnosing and Treating Pain Medicine Conditions
Chronic pain can last for weeks, months, and even years, and the pain can come and go.
Typically, a person is diagnosed after three or more months of experiencing the pain. Chronic pain can develop as a result of an injury that once it heals continues to be painful, or from diseases like arthritis, cancer, fibromyalgia, and other conditions.
Patients at Innovative Pain & Spine Specialists receive a comprehensive evaluation as the first step toward diagnosing pain issues. Our team of pain medicine specialists understands that the treatment of pain encompasses a broad spectrum of acute and chronic pain conditions. Using a multidisciplinary approach to care, our pain medicine specialists combine interventional treatments, medical management, rehabilitation, and other complementary therapies to give patients the greatest outcomes for recovery. Together, the provider and patient create an individualized treatment plan to relieve pain with the primary goal of restoring the patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Pain conditions can affect every part of the body. The type and degree of pain varies from patient to patient.
