Kelly Zach, MD
An Omaha, Nebraskan, Kelly Zach, MD, graduated from Creighton Prep High School and continued his studies at Creighton University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and from there completed his Anesthesiology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. His interest in pain management led him to continue his training and complete his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Zach is board-certified in Anesthesiology and board-certified in Pain Medicine with expertise in treating a variety of pain conditions. He believes in a multidisciplinary approach with the use of interventional treatments, medical management, rehabilitation, and alternative modalities. Being able to offer patients who are not surgical candidates other less invasive options is an approach he takes with all of his patients. He sees how medicine is transitioning away from large surgical procedures and more toward neuromodulation and minimally invasive procedures, such as interspinous devices and vertiflex.
Dr. Zach’s mission is to offer a comprehensive, personalized treatment regimen with a goal of restoring function and improving the life of each patient.
Dr. Zach’s clinical areas of interest include spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of spinal arthritis, and interventional procedures for managing cancer-related pain as well as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Dr. Zach is an active member in the Spine Intervention Society as well as the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
When Dr. Zach is not spending time with his wife and five children, he enjoys golfing and watching sports. A self-proclaimed Jaysker, Dr. Zach also enjoys attending both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Creighton Bluejays sporting events.
Dr. Kelly Zach sees patients at both Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska clinics.
