Phillip Essay, MD

For the past 20 years, Phillip Essay, MD, has been in private practice as a pain management specialist in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and he is board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is also board certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is called upon as an expert advisor in legal hearings involving interventional pain management.

Dr. Essay provides a credible and experienced perspective to the treatment of pain for his patients and has helped other physicians, legislators, insurance companies, and the general public to understand the impact of chronic pain on society and how it is best treated.

When it comes to advanced medical treatments, he feels neuromodulation is “the wave of the future” and believes most pain can be treated with electrical stimulation.
